Celtic Languages
The Celtic languages are divided into two branches: the Goedelic or Gaelic (Irish, Scots Gaelic, Manx), and the Brythonic (Welsh, Cornish, and Breton). Goedelic is also known as Q-Celtic, and Brythonic as P-Celtic, the essential differences arising from sound-shifts. (Otherwise known as "minding one's P's and Q's"...)

Saturday 30 April 2011 | Steam Train to cross Angarrack viaduct?
Apparently there's going to be a Steam Heritage tour at the end of April 2011.
It would be great if one of the photographers in the village could capture the train crossing the viaduct.
I think the schedule is going west on Saturday 30th April at about 11:30am and returning east about an hour and a quarter later. read more »

Farewell to Angarrack
Alan and Sam would like to thank all our friends in Angarrack for a great 12 months. We are sorry to be leaving such a welcoming community and if it were not for such a once in a lifetime opertunity in Wales would have stayed a long time.
Thank you all for the gifts and wishes and we wish all at Angarrack a sad farewell.

Hayle is home to war of the supermarkets, while mayor believes none should succeed

Can both sides of this circle be squared? Have the implications of a 6'/1.85m landfill site on South Quayin terms of building, ugliness and flood risk been truly appreciated? read more »

Fantastic Samba at the Switch On
A great turnout for the Switch On night and the weather kindly gave us a quick thaw which made the final push by the Elves and the Switch On much better. Bob McCreadie did his usual magnificent job and the long awaited Twelve Drummers Drumming made its debut as planned. There was terrific Samba beats which had the crowd moving along as well, and the Samba band then escorted Santa to his keen audience. read more »
